Don’t Ask These Interview Questions

Some of these interview questions came up when I asked you for your least favorite questions in my story the other day! These may be common interview questions, but that doesn't mean they're good. 😬 What each of these questions have in common is that they are all kind of hypothetical/not based in fact, can be answered with a scripted response and may make the candidate feel uneasy, which means the interviewer isn't going to get what they're looking for anyway.

You already know where I stand with this- focusing on behavioral interview questions that revolve around a particular situation is the best method. ⭐ Behavioral questions are more useful, interesting and don't allow for scripted responses. Conversations are also way more fun (yes, interviews can be fun!) when you're interested in what the candidate is telling you and asking follow up questions to better understand the situation.

Any other questions you'd add to this list? Let me know!
