Interview Question for Dependability

Are you dependable or looking for someone who is? ⭐ This trait is vital for most roles, and this question is a good way to assess fit. Everyone has had a time (likely earlier in their career) where they took on too much, prioritized incorrectly or underestimated how much time something would take.

Good answers to this question will include how the candidate communicated the issue to their manager, other stakeholders or team members, what their process for prioritization (or re-prioritzation!) was, the result of the situation, and what they would do differently to avoid an issue like this in the future.

⚠Yellow or red flags may be obvious for this one, but include dropping the ball, not communicating properly, a bad customer outcome, and not having a solution to avoid this issue in the future.
