Hire Possibilities 2021 Gift Guide for Job Seekers & Hiring Managers

If you have someone in your life who is looking for a job, or about to do a lot of hiring in 2022 (or if this is you!), these are thoughtful gifts and stocking stuffers! It’s a stressful time for anyone looking for employment or new hires, especially around the holidays when they should be able to enjoy some time for themselves. The goal for all of these gifts is to add a boost of happiness, confidence, coziness, or simply remind someone they are loved and that they matter.

For a fun and unique confidence boost, I recommend The Hip-Hop Queens Oracle Deck. Pull one before an interview to go in with the confidence of Megan Thee Stallion (or the 51 other featured queens of Hip-Hop!).

The Kaizen Event Planner is a must-have for any Hiring Manager who wants to run a quick and effective process improvement event to improve their hiring process, or any other business problem they may be trying to solve. For those running a Kaizen for the first time, I always recommend working with a facilitator or mentor with experience, feel free to reach out to me if you are considering this for your organization!

I drink this Tulsi Turmeric Ginger tea every day. Tulsi is a stress reducing adaptogen, and is also great for adrenal fatigue. I drink it in the afternoons and evenings for comfort, anti-inflammatory benefits and to quiet my mind before bed. It’s decaf, tastes sweet and ginger-y.

(Note: I’m obviously not a doctor- make your own medical decisions for herbal teas and supplements with your doc!)

Strengths Finder is a great tool for anyone gearing up for interviews or the next step of their career - identify your top 5 strengths to highlight and lean into. I still use mine all the time, and have taken the test 3x with really interesting results (in fact, thinking of taking it again in this phase of my career! stay tuned).

When I’m cold (as I often am this time of year), I am not able to be my best self. The Matona Juna Sweater from Shop McCoy Kids is the warmest, cutest sweater I own. It’s totally classy and appropriate for a winter interview when you don’t need to be suit-and-tie formal. Go to Shop McCoy Kids for the sweater, and stay for the awesome baby and kids selection if you have little ones to shop for as well!

These Motivational Stress Balls are marketed to teachers, but I could see them being helpful to squeeze or fidget with during an interview over zoom!

These Barefoot Dreams Socks are a great way to get cozy after a long, hard day. Anything from Barefoot Dreams is a win if you want the gift recipient to feel wrapped in a warm hug!
